The Life Shield is about you, made by you with your energies. It is a reminder of how far in life you have travelled and you will find that as you begin your design which can be very simple it will take on a life of its own. You will be putting your energy into the shield and it will be your symbol of yourself as regards where you came from and where your are going. Each person will produce something very different there are no rules just creation and self expression and of course fun and relaxation. The following information is aimed at cutting down the time so that everyone can get on into their painting: Most important of all, you do not have to be an artist to be able to create a life shield.

The workshop will run over two days but if you can only do one day one week and the other day the following please let us know - its not a problem. Lunch will be served/tea/coffee, if you have special needs as regards food, please let us know.

The Life Shield came to life when I wanted to do something as a gift for a friend, I asked her to write 10 things down that she liked, that made her who she was, things that were important to her. Then I set about finding signs to match up with her choices, I went on to Native American sites and found her animal guide and other symbols that I also used on her life shield. By the time I had finished the Life shield I had also been on to the NASA site and found the Crab nebular that I used and I added some items that I knew she would love along with what she had chosen. I added crystals and feathers using no nails and I trimmed the edges with material and pinned it all down nicely.

The board will be round, the paints will be Acrylic. If you have your own you are welcome to bring them along but please mark them and any brushes you might bring with you. I am painting one for myself so you will see one complete and if Lynn finishes hers you will see how different and personal they are. I will have a list of symbols that you can choose from. If you want to bring crystals to add make them small ones, I have a fairy earring that I am going to add to my sheild, since I lost one it makes sense as Fairies live here too. So if you have some personal items you want to add please bring them with you.

You will need to focus on colour.. Mine has pink, blue, green and Lilac as a background but at the time of writing this I have no centre piece sorted out. All the Shields will be marked out but what you put within the
markings is your own choice.
1. Focus on the colours and see what comes to your mind.
2. Write a list of ten things.

3. Bring anything you might want to put on your shield that is personal.
4. Focus on any item that you may want to paint on as well as the ten items you may have listed.
5. Make notes to yourself they will come in handy on the painting days.
6. All the meanings of the symbols you choose, will be written on the back of your shield for future ref: by You.

Each person will be given a canvas round board. Use of paints and paint brushes./ glue Pencils. Tracing paper. Feathers Crystals Fabric Pins And help............... The symbols will be either on a sheet of paper or on Lynn's white board. We hope to begin the workshop at 10 am and work through the day to around Five pm.

Lynn will be taking you through the quiet into a visualization so you can connect with your guide and ask for help with your design and painting of with a Spiritual connection. Although this is not a Spiritual workshop you may find it helpful.
Here is a list of ten items just to give you an idea when you come to write your own:
1. Family.
2. Truth
3. Love and Peace.
4. Angels.
5. Fairies.
6. Friends
7. Compassion.
8. Spirit.
9. Happiness.
10. Sharing.

You can extend on those by also painting the things you love, I have so far a swan, a sea horse, buttercups. Humming bird, (reminds me of Salamanca NY watching them feed at my Cousins house). Butterfly. My animal guide is the Otter so I will be painting him on. If you want to know what your animal birth sign is with the Native American let us know your birth date. Its all about you,

W hope that each one of you will be able to look at your Life Shield by the end and see and feel Yourself. We hope to be painting outside, so focus on good weather. We look forward to see you all on the day.
Love and Light June & Lynn
