PRESENT is a collection of five original short plays around that theme... as in gift, as in time, as in to be...

It was presented (pardon the pun) at the Charles Cryer Theatre, Carshalton on 31 May '08.  We're now looking to transfer the show (maybe with revisions) to a London fringe venue and welcome expressions of interest.

The writers, David Chapman, Joanne Higginson and Gary Cox also have other work to offer and are available for original commissions.

PRESENT is:

Christmas Morning, by David Chapman

Wry reflections from a wife, not entirely satisfied with her gifts...

Birthday Girl, by Gary Cox

A comedy about a woman, her unexpected birthday present and the even more unexpected effect it has.

Second Chance, by David Chapman

Drama about a ‘celebrity’ alcoholic who is given a new liver, only to abuse the second chance at life he’s been granted.

Attitude, by Joanne Higginson

Drama in which a young woman finds herself pregnant but doesn’t know which of two one-night stands is the father.  Each of those involved recounts their own version of events.

Sunday Lunch, by Gary Cox

Comic farce centred around two generations of a family and a very unlikely live-in cook.

Performed on 31 May '08 by a cast that included Stephanie Nielson, Jack Bowman, Louisa Ashton, Shane Blake, Ian Draper and Michael Coghlan.
