Supervision is a consultative space for counsellors and psychotherapists to reflect on their relationships with clients so that they can sustain and develop their practise. In the UK, practitioners who are members of a professional body such as BACP are expected to have regular supervision at a level appropriate to the amount and complexity of their client-work. Supervision is an ongoing commitment to self-reflection, to developing our learning and to improving our capacity to be therapeutic.
I provide one-to-one, telephone and group supervision to therapists working in a wide range of settings, including voluntary organisations, EAP's and GP surgeries. I enjoy working with individual supervisees and with groups from a range of theoretical orientations and approaches. I have a particular interest in supervision for practitioners working with trauma.
I have successfully completed a Certificate in Supervision with PCT Britain and, in addition, I studied Counselling Supervision as part of my HNC in Counselling.
