So where do I start - I have basically now been on the Medtronic Paradigm 722 pump since mid February 2008 and I have found the pump and pumping is great. Anyone who is thinking of going onto a pump - just do it as you will not regret it one bit. I was a little scared at first due to the fact it is attached to your body 24/7 but to be honest you get used to it very quick. The main advantage is the fact you only change the tiny canular every 3 days which must be better than 4 injections per day.

The Medtronic Paradigm 722 pump is a good pump in my opinion but it is quite basic compared to the Animas 2020 pump. The main benifits with the Animas is that you can Download your results - Smaller pump size - Flat large colour screen - Waterproof so you can go swimming - Food diary so you can add your favourite foods.carbs. I really like the Animas as you can probably tell ?

I was only on the Medtronic pump for 3 months and decided to try and change to the Animas 2020 pump as it is so much easier to read the screen. I have had lots of laser in my eyes and 2 Vitrrectomy operations which has made it difficult to see in poor light and small text -  Hence the Animas 2020 !
