The use of data other than that for the purpose for which it is held by Marie - written 10/10/2008 10:08:44

I wonder if you could advise on the use of data for purpose other than that it is collected for: If I can give you an example, data on the uptake of immunisations is held as a part of a child record. Can we use this data to highlight gaps in uptake and address service delivery.  Other data sets would include Pupil Level Annual Census Data which collects individual level data on those children that are Statemented, those who are eligible for free school meals, BME, we would like to link data sets to identify themes (link between free school meals and deprivation) look at a possible link for none uptake of immunisations and BME. All we are looking to do is enhance services and direct them into neighbourhoods

Kind Regards

Marie
