Financial Information by Tom - written 04/06/2008 12:02:21

Dear Ibrahim,

Are central government departments required to release planned financial information under FOI Act?

For example if DCLG was asked about its planned budget for staff costs across the next 3 years of CSR07 or the size of it's contingency funds for the same future period, would it be obliged to give this information out or would it be protected as 'commercially sensitive?'

Is there any case law from the information commissioner about this?

Thank you

Tom
