We have installed CCTV systems for the purpose of Detection and Prevention and for Health and Safety. They are not used to monitor employees.
3 Senarios:
1. Employee enters our premises outside of normal hours without prior permission. Can we use CCTV to investiagate what he was doing and can these images be used in any future disiplinary procedures?
2. As part of our Absence Management Procedures an employee was asked to bring certain documents to the Personnel Department by a certain date. According to our Personnel Department these documents where never received. The employee insists that they were. Can we use CCTV to prove or disprove that the employee was at our reception at the time given?
3. Two employees meet in our carpark. Apparently some verbal abuse or threat was given. Can we use CCTV to prove or disprove that the meeting took place and can any images be used in any future disiplinary procedures?
