Opprobrium - deserved or not - aside, Caleb hasn't made the slightest, meanest attempt to respond even to my posting "A reply to Caleb, and some questions". Excuse me if the posting gets a little heated, but these are issues about which I feel very strongly.

Someone charged Caleb with "moral cowardice". If that is not the case then where is Caleb's response. You may harm your defence if you fail to mention something which you later rely on... I don't think people can be blamed for becoming frustrated nor is it surprising when they treat Caleb with contempt.

What do you mean people "hate everything for which [you] stand". It's difficult to ascertain what that is when you refuse to be drawn.

Now in response to Mr Silverside's shot at it, evolutionary theory is not speculative. It is conventional, mainstream, accepted science, upon which myriad other working science rests.

Mr Silverside also betrays his own ignorance of evolutionary theory insofar as it has nothing to say about the origin of life, only the origin of species. So really, he has no business sticking his oar in here to muddy the waters. This is typical of the arrogance of creationists who deign to make professions upon things they know nothing about. So basically his entire posting begins with a straw-man premise and wish-thinking. There is an abundance of literature available in any decent bookshop which demonstrates why this is. But you hold, do you not, that this is as a result of some sort of Grand Conspiracy?
