I am researching my ancestors who lived at Higher Hendham Farm from 1820 - 1914, William and Dorothy Luscombe and then their son Henry and Mary Luscombe. I would like to see the farm house that would have been their family home and have been trying to research online. Unfortunately I am finding it very confusing - I see there are barn conversions (which are holiday lets), a house called Higher Hendham House (B&B) and another georgian house called 'Hendham' house. I don't know which would have been the original family house belonging to the farm?? I have emailed the owners of the barn lets, the owners of the B&B and also the land agents who had Hendham House listed - but have not received replies to any as yet.
Can anybody help with some information? or point me in the right direction?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Sheryl Doyle (nee Luscombe)
