RE: Cotton Identification by Bob Smith - written 22/02/2012 13:51:29

Hi Philip,

If you like to e mail your photographs to me I will pass them around the appropiate menbers and lets see if we can help you identify the bike and get it back on the road. The frame number should be on the head stock, usually stamped vertically.

Hi All

I have a Cotton bike which my father dismantled to restore before I was born and is still in pieces (I'm now 32!)  I am in the process of sorting out what is what in terms of parts ready to restore it and trying to identify what model it is.

All I have is a collection of parts, the frame, forks, wheels and tank.  I would like to road register it when complete, although I don't know if this is possible.  I have some pictures of the frame although I don't know if I can upload them to here although I would gladly email them to anyone who may be able to help.  I do know it has a Villiers 197cc two stroke engine, possibly an 11E.  I don't know the frame number and don't know where to look either!  Any help or advice would be gratefully received!

Kindest Regards
Philip Tebbs
