There is always an alternative

You have a car, you have a journey to make, you are going to use the car - are you?
THERE IS ALWAYS AN ALTERNATIVE.
This site is full of ideas. Walk (with a rucksack if you have a load to carry); cycle (with a trailer if necessary); take the bus or tram or train. Personally I have always hankered after a pony and cart.....
OK- sometimes the alternative isn't really sensible (I don't actually have anywhere to keep a pony). So that's when you give in and - you take a taxi. (When you give up your car, you have LOTS of spare money to pay for the occasional extravagance of a taxi.)
The problem is: if you have a car sitting there in the front drive, it's the easy option. You probably don't even think about the alternatives.
Start thinking about them. See how often you can leave the car at home. And pretty soon you may realise that the car isn't doing very much at all: you might as well get rid of it. You've joined us - welcome!
