RE: Old card kits by Jerry Freestone - written 05/12/2012 11:18:20
Thank you for the encouraging comments. It is a sad reflection that the re-design process will take such a long time - and may well keep me out of mischief (rats!) for many years to come.

Yes, we do also own the MerCo range, although there is little of any real use left from the buildings products range. We have the remaining stocks of the litho coach and wagon side overlays - these will appear on the web-site in due course. There are, unfortunately a number of items even from those ranges that no longer exist, although it is possible that there may be retailers from the halcyon days of "real" model shops who still hold stocks of those. The range of building papers was, I believe, quite extensive, but we have sample pieces of only very few of the designs, none of which are of a quality that justifies any sort of commercial reproduction when compared to more modern designs.

Dear Sir,

whilst i have some of the kits you currently market, i did not appreciate the difficaulty you must be having with re designing the existing designs to comply with the current standard card sizes. I also now appreciate that a re design will also mean making modifications to the designs to make them more flexible and presumably some extra components to allow for further modification.

All of this will be for the good. I also appreciate and congratulate  you for having saved these designs from extiction which i feel is equally important.

On another matter by some chance do you also own the Merco range ? I have heard about this for many years, ( Peter Denny was a great fan of their building papers ) but i have no real idea of what they actually produced.

Best wishes and Regards,
