Using 'Manage my account'
Please note, if you activated a Storefront trial or account after 07/06/2012, please click
here
for more information about how to manage your package.
With the ‘Manage my account’ tab you have full control over your account settings, using the following options:
My package
Here you can review the details of your current Takeaway Website package and renew or upgrade it. Click ‘Manage my package’ to see the options available to you:
‘Renew it’
If you are within six months of your next renewal, you will see a yellow ‘Renew it’ button. If you click this, the next page will show exactly what you’re renewing and the cost – if you have extra web space it will be listed here as this is always paid pro rata along with your Takeaway Website package. Click on the ‘Renew now’ button to pay.
You’ll now be taken though to the payment page. Enter your details as necessary and click the ‘Click here to pay now’ button or the ‘Checkout with PayPal’ button to pay via your PayPal account. When the payment is complete you will be directed to your receipt, which can be printed out using the ‘Print receipt’ button. Mr Site will also store this receipt for you to view at any time – just click the ‘My payments’ tab (click
here

‘Turn off recurring payments’
When you renew your package Mr Site will set up an automated recurring payment to be taken on your next renewal date, using the details you provided. This ensures that your Takeaway Website account is renewed on time and your domain name is kept safe. If you do not want Mr Site to take this payment automatically every year you will need to ensure you have clicked the ‘Turn off recurring payments’ button, which can be found by returning to ‘Manage my package’, in the ‘Manage my account’ tab. To switch recurring payments back on again, click ‘Turn on recurring payments’ at any time.
‘Upgrade now’
If you are a Takeaway Website Beginner or Standard customer, you will also be able to upgrade your package. The packages that are available to you will be indicated by a yellow box with the cost of the upgrade and an ‘Upgrade now’ button.
Once you have a selected a package to upgrade to, you’ll be taken though to the payment page – enter your details as necessary and click the ‘Click here to pay now’ button or the ‘Checkout with PayPal’ button to pay via your PayPal account. When the payment is complete, you will be directed to your receipt. You can print this using the ‘Print receipt’ button, but Mr Site will also store it for you to view at any time – just click in the ‘My payments’ tab (click
here
for more information about ‘My payments’).
Please note: You will need to log out of your account for the upgrade to take effect.

Web space used
This will show you how much of your allocated web space you have used so far. Remember, Takeaway Website web space is split 50/50 between your website and email.
‘Buy more web space’
If you’re running low, you can add more web space to your account by clicking the yellow ‘Buy more web space’ button – this will double your current web space for just £24 a year. This payment is made pro rata; so, for example, if you are six months into your subscription you will only pay for six months extra web space. You can double your current web space as many times as you like.
Please note: Your extra web space will be renewed alongside your Takeaway Website package annually.
If you have an offer code from Mr Site, please type it in the box next to ‘Offer code:’ and then proceed to payment by clicking on the yellow ‘Buy now’ button. This box will also display the amount you will be paying today.
You’ll now be taken though to the payment page – enter your details as necessary and click the ‘Click here to pay now’ button or the ‘Checkout with PayPal’ button to pay via your PayPal account. When the payment is complete, you will be directed to your receipt. My domain name
This displays the main domain name attached to your Takeaway Website. You can have more than one domain name pointing your Takeaway Website, just click the ‘Manage my domains’ button to find out how.
Manage my domains
If you have bought any additional domain names with Mr Site you can manage them yourself using the ‘Domain manager’ – you can also ‘point’ any non-Mr Site names to your Takeaway Website and purchase more domain names for your account.
Before you start using the ‘Domain manager’ we strongly recommend you read the following guidelines. In the ‘Domain manager’ table you will see three titles across the top:
‘Hosted with Mr Site’
If this is ticked, it means that the corresponding domain name is hosted and registered with Mr Site. If you want to move a non-Mr Site domain to us, please click here for further instructions.
‘Main domain’
Although you can have as many domain names as you like ‘pointing’ and taking visitors to your website, you need to choose one to be the main name associated to your Takeaway Website account. If this box is ticked, it means that the corresponding domain is your main name. You can change which domain is your main name by clicking the ‘Edit’ button.
For further instructions about using the ‘Edit’ button, see below.
‘Is live’
If this box is ticked, it means that the corresponding domain name is attached to your account and will take visitors to your Takeaway Website .
Under each domain name, you will also three buttons:
‘Edit’
When you click the ‘Edit’ button under a domain name, you will be able to specify whether you want to make it the main name associated to your Takeaway Website account (see ‘Main domain’ above), by checking the tick box. Click the blue ‘Save’ button when you’re finished. With the ‘Edit’ option, you can also delete this domain name from your account completely (say, for example, you change your business name) by clicking on the red ‘Delete’ button. This means the domain name will no longer appear in the ‘Domain manager’ or take visitors to your Takeaway Website.
‘Renew’
This will allow you to renew the domain name – click the yellow ‘Renew’ button (see 'Renew it' above for further instructions).
‘Move away’
If you would like to move your domain name to another provider, click the ‘Move away’ button. You will need to contact the Mr Site customer services team to complete your move – please email
customerservices@mrsite.co.uk
or speak to one of our gurus on Live Chat.
Own a domain name with another provider?
It is also possible to ‘point’ a domain name hosted with another provider to your Takeaway Website using the ‘Add domain alias’ option beneath the ‘Domain manager’. A domain alias is when you have more than one domain name leading to the same website.
Once you have clicked the ‘Add domain alias’ button and confirmed the domain name you want to move, you will see it appears in the ‘Domain manager’ list. You now have two options:
If you just want to ‘point’ this domain name to your Takeaway Website but stay with your current provider, you will need to contact them and ask them to change the DNS settings for your domain name. Your DNS settings can be found by clicking on ‘Extras’ from the Main Options page, followed by ‘Admin’, then ‘Edit name servers’. You will need to provide your registrar with the codes following NameServer#1 and NameServer#2.
Alternatively, you can move your domain name from your current registrar for Mr Site to host – you will need to contact Mr Site customer services to complete this move. Either email
customerservices@mrsite.co.uk
or speak to one of our gurus on Live Chat.
You should also visit the Mr Site Learning Academy at www.mrsite.co.uk/support and search for an article called ‘Transferring your domain to Mr Site’, which will provide you with details of some important information you need to obtain from your current provider.
Please note: If you’ve had your Takeaway Website account for some time and have already pointed domains to Mr Site, they may not appear in the ‘Domain manager’. Just click ‘Add a domain alias’ to add them to your account now.
Buy an additional domain
You can also purchase new domain names with Mr Site by clicking on the red ‘Buy now’ button (click
here
for further instructions).
Next renewal date
This shows you when your next Takeaway Website renewal is due – if you are within six months of your next renewal date, you will be able to see the ‘Renew your account’ button. This will allow you to pay for another year with Mr Site.
‘Renew your account’
If you click the yellow ‘Renew your account’ button, the next page will show exactly what you’re renewing and the cost. If you have extra web space it will be listed here as this is always paid pro rata along with your Takeaway Website package. Click on the ‘Renew now’ button to pay.
You’ll now be taken though to the payment page – you can now enter your details as necessary and click the ‘Click here to pay now’ button or click the ‘Checkout with PayPal’ button to pay via your PayPal account.
